Responsibilities:
This is a trade’s position, based at the Baghdad Embassy Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC), Iraq and will be associated with the On-Site Services section. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing BDSC personnel transportation requirements. This position reports to the On-Site Services Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
DUTIES: - Become proficient in the use and completion of work orders (WO) produced by the Work Orders for Windows (WOW) database - Develop a comprehensive knowledge of: - BDSC routes and pick-up points - BDSC bus schedules - Safety Plan - Accident and Serious Incident reporting procedures - Emergency Action Plan - PAE and DOS vehicle operations - - Read and interpret instructions and documentation - Transport passengers as directed - Follow all safety rules - Wear prescribed personnel protective equipment (PPE) - Fueling, dispatch, operator maintenance and cleaning of assigned vehicles - Participate in equipment inventories - Prepare additional reports and perform additional duties as assigned by the On-Site Services Manager Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: - A minimum of three years’ experience as a bus driver, operating busses with manual transmissions - Ability to work effectively with multi-national staff and demanding customers
REQUIRED:
- Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required and candidate must provide a valid license, from their country of origin, with at least 12 months validity remaining before expiration. In addition, the candidate must provide proof of certification to operate heavy equipment and oversize busses from a recognized licensing program - Security Vetting: Must be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract
- Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills
- Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required for this position - Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination
