To assist the Security Manager for Security and Health & Safety of the hotel and employee housing compound, ensuring the guest and employee security is never compromised and that service is of the upmost highest of standards.
A high level of attention to detail for the quality and presentation of employees, so as to ensure exceptional guest experiences driven by proactiveness and consistency.
To assist the Security Manager in leading and training a team, by showing inspirational leadership and creating self motivation.
* Eligible applicants must have 2 years experience as an Assistant Security Manager in a 5 star hotel, must have worked in the Middle East and be fluent (spoken and written) in both English and Arabic.
Specific role responsibilities but not limited to:
To maintain full and accurate records associated with all security and safety aspects
To maintain policies and procedures for security, loss and risk control, key control and health and safety
To maintain all Health and Safety SOP’s and regulations
To constantly proactively look for areas of risk and maintain and train Business Continuity Plans for the top 10 major business risks
To assist in ensuring the security and safety of all Royal, VIP guests and Embassy Delegations, through liaising with their security, performing room and hotel inspections, clearance of employees, working required hours
To follow and train the Security team on SOP’s
To assist in initiating and pursue the prosecution of any person detected committing criminal acts against the hotel, guest, visitor, employees or management and reporting any act of suspensions to the General Manager
To closely monitor employee and visitors/contractors entry and exit ensuring the hotel is not subject to theft or pilfering
To assist in preparing incident reports and ensure they are followed up timely, accurately and in full
To assist in work related investigations of losses and claims for both guests and employees
To assist with the safe keeping of guest lost property
To assist in work related investigations pertaining to disciplinary action of employees
To assist the F&B Hygiene Coordinator with investigations
To recommend equipment modernization and improvements to improve security and safety of guests and employees
To constantly evaluate and provide recommendations for the improvement of security procedures in various department paying particular attention to storage, key control, stock control and personal security of guests and employees
To do daily regular property walkarounds and checks
To build a strong rapport and liaise with local authorities and police and ensure the hotel meets all local and federal government regulations
To monitor and maintain all surveillance systems and records
To ensure that the Security Command Centre is manned 24/7
To ensure the security of all employee compounds and that it is manned 24/7
To assume responsibility of any Security position in absence of employees and regularly do Security Officer shifts
