Security Manager, Senior - Afghanistan

Security Responsibilities 
Manages badging and screening of all Local National and Other Country National persons requiring access to military installations. Acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all requirements under PWS 05.22.03 Personnel Services / Biometric Operations of the Force Protection Screen Cell is responsible for oversight of the subcontractor conducting operations on site locations in Afghanistan.

Conducts routine audits of all Force Pro Screen Cells to ensure contract compliance with regard to client/customer directives. Ensures compliance to contract requirements in the execution of personnel services with adherence to all Force Protection Screen Cell processes. Audits and ensures quality of FPSC interviews and collection of biometric data for both Host Country Nationals (HCNs) and Third Country Nationals (TCNs), and other designated persons (performed in several regional languages through the use of interpreters) who require access to military installations. Responsible to ensure training, development and management of office staff including FPSC screeners, database administrators, administrative assistants, and linguist personnel. Acts as liaison to corporate, subcontractor, US Government and Customer.

Ensures the standardization, transfer, sharing and integrity of valuable human intelligence type data base information in order to ensure quality information sharing and access control measures. Ensures database integrity and facility security is maintained. Audits all files and dossiers for completeness and accuracy. Conducts direct coordination with military Officer-In-Charge or Non-Commissioned Officer-In-Charge (OIC/NCOIC) to ensure priorities and PWS requirements are met. Ensures information gleaned from interviews of Force Protection concern and notifies OIC/NCOIC or appropriate agencies.

Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).

Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements - High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and eight (8) years related experience.
Other Job Requirements - Must possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
- Security clearance (Secret or above) required for this position. Elevated background screening applies.
