Qualifications (Experience / Special Skills):

Security training from Police service
Certified Fire Fighter and Life Guard
Previous experience in related fields, such as former police officer or army personnel

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role in a five star resort/hotel.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and investigation skills.
Able to respond to crisis situations

Job Summary
Responsible for properly executing security duties, to adequately protecting the life and property of guests and Soneva Fushi Resort’s entire facility.
Continually review the day to day activities and conduct of the contracted security guards and to report and record any lack of discipline or misconduct.
Personally monitor all movements of staff, visitors, contract workers and guests in and around premises, in particular on guest floors; back-of-house areas, and the staff entry/exit route ensuring that the security of premises and equipment is maintained.
Monitor jetty screening to prevent the entry of unauthorized visitors to ensure that the permissive secure and that guests are not disturbed by the unwanted/ uninvited intrusions of unauthorized visitors.
Coordinate the periodical but random, inspections of all employee bags, lockers, and vehicles, in conjunction with security guards and the Personnel Division if required to prevent pilfering of resort equipment or consumable stores.
Conduct a preliminary inquiry of any incident or occurrence that is associated with security, of the Hotel, its guests, visitors, vendors, and staff and to submit a report on the inquiry. Assign the contract security personnel to assist other hotel staff, where and when necessary and ensure that security guards do not perform duties on behalf Hotel staff without proper approval.
Becomes familiar with hazardous materials used on property, and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing same.
Ensure that all duties are carried out in line with the Resort Policy, with high standards of personal appearance, personal hygiene, correct uniforms and name badge as outlined in the staff handbook.
Promote host awareness of SOPs and safety and security procedures.
Should conduct monthly inventory of security equipment, including flashlights, bicycles, and radio communication systems.
To conduct and document, on a monthly basis and as directed, inspections of the all vessels and fire extinguishers, guest rooms and emergency lights.
