Requirements
Minimum qualifications for all maritime security personnel:
Proof of military service and testimonial
Seaman’s Card and Discharge Book
Maritime Firearms Competency Course Certificate
FPOS(i) or equivalent – must include trauma element
Industry recognised psychological assessment (e.g. March on Stress)
STCW95 / STCW10
ENG1
Enhanced DBS certificate (or equivalent for non-UK residents)
City & Guilds Level 3 Maritime Security Operators (MSO) Course
Additional requirements for offshore maritime security personnel:
BOSIET – not mandatory but highly desirable
Land-based security personnel:
FPOS(i) or equivalent – must include trauma element

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
Enhanced DBS certificate (or equivalent for non-UK residents)
