Surveillance Detection Guard

Location: WPS II Task Order (High Threat OCONUS)

Position Status: Position contingent upon contract award

Summary

The Surveillance Detection Guard (SDG) provides security for United States Government (USG) facilities, employees and family members by detecting, recognizing and reporting on surveillance directly against USG facilities and/or personnel and provides support directly or by calling assistance. The SDG will also call for immediate assistance and takes action to prevent injury or death to personnel and destruction of property, in case of an imminent attack.

Essential Functions
Conduct surveillance detection within an assigned area as directed by supervisory security personnel.
Identify suspicious activity or possible surveillance and submits information in order to make a preliminary analysis of its significance.
Engage in close observation to identify and register surveillance operations on United States Government (USG) facilities, employees, family members, and residences.
Make verbal and written reports on findings to the responsible supervisory security personnel.
Maintain surveillance records and/or perform data entry into software applications.
Initiate emergency responses to possible hostile actions as necessary to safeguard life and property.
Provide other surveillance services as assigned.

Education and Experience
Completion of secondary school (12th Grade) is required.
A level II English language proficiency in reading, listening, speaking and writing is required.
A level III proficiency in those languages identified by the task order, written and spoken is required.
An understanding of additional languages is preferred.
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of surveillance experience.
Must possess a valid host nation driver’s license.

Qualifications

Upon bio approval, the SDG shall meet the following qualifications:
Obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance/public trust certification as identified in the task order.

Supervisory Responsibility
No supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

Task Orders for High-Threat WPS II locations. While visiting overseas location(s), one may experience temperatures that are very cold or hot.

Physical Demands

Surveillance Detection Guard must pass the WPS II Physical Readiness Test and weapons qualifications.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days may vary. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order in specific.

Security Clearance

Obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, at minimum.
