Summary:
Seaward Services is currently in need of an Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) Operator Senior (Site Lead) to support the Unmanned Maritime Systems Support (UMSS) contract. The work location will require unaccompanied deployment to Bahrain. Tour length is a minimum of 180 days.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs a wide variety of nonstandard complex tasks in the electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or optical areas. Evaluates and resolves calibrating and troubleshooting problems
Assists engineers in design, development, and evaluation of new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications
Designs, develops, and coordinates building of experimental, prototype models, or test fixtures
Determines types of tests to be performed; approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment
Analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products or equipment. May design and/or improvise equipment, tools, and fixtures.
Requirements/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor of Science degree required
Must have two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and extensive knowledge of theory and principles
Technical trade school or military training preferred
Must be a United States Citizen (it is not customary of the company to sponsor visas)
Must possess a United States Passport
Military Security Clearance or ability to obtain by date of hire
Deploy in an unaccompanied status to Bahrain for a minimum of 180 days
Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated Mk-18 Family of Systems UUV operational experience, including at least six months of deployed operational UUV experience in direct support of military operations (e.g. Fifth Fleet Operations)
Must have demonstrated deployed Mk-18 UUV leadership experience, filling positions such as Team Lead, Fleet Support Representative, Detachment Lead or Site Manager
Proficient in MS Office products to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Possess and demonstrate superior leadership/management skills
Provide proven training, mentoring, counseling and coaching skills
Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing and demonstrate well-developed inter-personal skills
Logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work
Show initiative and an ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
Be able to pursue and complete multiple assignments under time constraints.
May be required to travel on short notice as mission/fleet support requirements dictate.
Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Must be organized and be able to multi-task
Strong interpersonal skills are required
Working in a team environment
Expected to work outside normal hours of operations as mission/fleet support requirements dictate
Pass pre-employment background check. Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the USCG, including, but not limited to, pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing
Wear company uniform and required safety equipment
Working Conditions:
Outside conditions, extreme heat and cold. Marine operations are subject to varied wake and motion.
Ability to carry materials weighing upwards of 75 pounds.
Ability to determine safe or unsafe conditions. Process calculations occasionally.
Observe for safety. Vision correctible to 20/40. Full color vision, no night blindness. Full range of all limbs.
