We’re currently looking for a Roving Safety and Security Capacity Building Advisor to be based in any one of our existing SCI country offices.
In this role, you will support our Regional Security Directors with the formulation of Learning & Development and Capacity Building plans for selected country offices; develop and improve our safety and security management processes; deliver capacity building via the delivery of training sessions, including train the trainer; mentor and coach colleagues, and liaise with external training providers. The role will involve up to 70% travel and you’ll be able to be based overseas for up to 3 months at a time.
In order to be successful you will bring substantial experience of having worked in a Safety and Security function in an humanitarian/recovery/development context, proven experience in training and capacity building and of designing training programs and modules. You’ll also be an accredited trainer of trainers; experience with e-learning software is desirable,
On a personal level you’ll have a strong results orientation, the ability to succeed in and adapt to challenging environments, have a highly developed cultural awareness, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You’ll also be able to share our commitment to improve the lives of children around the world.
