A-T Solutions is actively seeking several Senior Security Force Assistance Advisors to support our customer in Afghanistan. The Senior Security Force Assistance Training (SFAT) Advisor (HQ) shall providehigh-level analysis and advice to the ISAF/RS CJ7-TREX Director, and asdirected to other ISAF/RS CJ7-TREX/ISAF elements. They will maintain awareness of thedevelopment of strategic and operational planning documents within the MoD and MoI. Primary responsibilities include:
Interface with ISAF/RS CJ7-TREX HQ staff and supported ISAF operational elements to enhance ISAF/RS CJ7-TREX relative effectiveness in identifying and promulgating SFA advisor best practices.
Assist the ISAF/RS CJ7-TREX in reviewing the performance and effectiveness of TAAC training activities.
Mentors and advises RS advisors. Aids in the development and in the execution of RS advisor RSO&I and provides mentorship to advisors throughout their deployment.
Attend all EF6 working groups and meetings to represent the ISAF/RS CJ7-TREX to gather information on the current issues and concerns.
Produce a weekly EF6 report.
Serve as the CJ-7 TREX Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will work in coordination with various agencies to understand all aspects of EF6 mission activities and incorporate the relevant elements into HQ training and exercises.
Serve as a trainer and SME in various forms of in-country and Joint training that informs and educates all advisors and staff at HQ RS and various Train, Advise and Assist Commands (TAACs, formerly Regional Commands) in the Afghanistan theater and at NATO Joint Forces Training Command pre-deployment events in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Serve as SME and trainer for ancillary training dealing with Guardian Angel force protection skills and cultural/linguistic dimensions of the Afghanistan theater.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Experience working in joint military and governmental interagency and deployed environments, and working
and supervising personnel in austere and remote conditions.
Experience as a strategic planner or policy analyst.
Active Secret clearance.
Specialized experience in one of the following areas will be required depending on customer need and field of support:
EF6-
A minimum of a Master’s degree in a strategic analysis, SFA or COIN-related field (e.g. security studies, conflict studies, international relations, management, operations research) coupled with 10+ years of operational experience in SFA/COIN-related fields and SFA/COIN campaigns.
At least six months of SFA experience within the last 4 years serving or working with ISAF.
EF4-
A minimum of a Master’s degree in an Operations or SFA-related field (e.g. security studies, conflict studies, international relations, management, administration, operations research, terrorism studies) coupled with 10+ years experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree coupled with 12+ years experience.
At least six months of experience within the last 4 years serving or working with ISAF.
Experience equivalent to that of a field grade military officer or senior NCO who has served in a brigade/squadron-level Operations Officer capacity.
EF5-
A minimum of a Master’s degree in Business or other related field to Acquisition and Logistics coupled with 10+ years experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant logistics management experience, or 5 years combined applicable education and practical experience or 18 months managing a military equipment account.
Experience working on classified networks, and interfacing with military staffs.
Acquisition/Logistics or Finance Level 2 certification
War College or equivalent graduate
EF2/3-
Must be an attorney coupled with at least 10 years of national agency, military, or legal practice experience demonstrating expertise in legal aspects of national security and intelligence issues.
Expert knowledge of how quality of governance and instantiation of democratic institutions can be evaluated.
At least six months of experience within the last 4 years serving or working with ISAF.
EF7-
A minimum of a Master’s degree in an Operations or SFA-related field (e.g. security studies, conflict studies, international relations, management, administration, operations research, terrorism studies) coupled with 10+ years experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree coupled with 12+ years experience.
Experience in intelligence analysis and production
Experience in mentoring, advising and assisting US and Coalition Forces.
At least six months of experience within the last 4 years serving or working with ISAF.
EF8-
