Job Summary:
Pinkerton is seeking a Regional Security Operations Director, to be located on-site with a specific Client. The
Regional Security Operations Director provides strategic direction and innovation in the management of all security services, fire protection, and investigations. The Director will serve as the subject matter expert for such topics as investigations and executive security within the Asia Pacific region.

The Essential Functions Include:
  1. Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance and excellence.
  2. Responsible for the strategic planning for security services to the Client including short-term and five-year plans. Monitors progress of stated goals. 
  3. Interpret and communicate the Corporate Security and Investigative Policies for Client locations.
  4. Define, communicate, and implement security protection specifications and requirements for the existing, new, and leased facilities.  This includes; purchased security services, equipment, and technology as designated by the Client and special requirements to protect the confidentiality of the Client’s product development areas and property.
  5. Define and communicate common processes including the integration of security services, to assure compliance with security and investigation standards as stated in the Client’s Corporate Security Manual.
  6. Conduct security reviews at each facility to identify risks for Client employees, assets, and facilities.  Review findings with the site and develop with the site security controls to mitigate the security risks.
  7. Provide leadership in the continued implementation of the common security process and reviews the results with the Client and the security service provider.
  8. Assess the quality of security service provider at each facility
  9. Conduct residence surveys and security briefings, as requested.
  10. Interface with other management groups and personnel relative to security and investigations.
  11. Conduct, coordinate, and/or perform investigations as required.
  12. Identify trends of loss and recommends corrective action to the Client.
  13. Maintain current working knowledge and understanding of legal requirements in investigations and surveillance techniques and applications.
  1. Establish and maintain liaison with governmental law enforcement and security agencies.
  2. Facilitate the common implementation of best business practices in combination with continuous improvement programs.
  3. Participate on the Regional Crisis Management Team as the Corporate Security Representative.  Develop and maintain the Regional Crisis Management Plan.
  4. Update and maintain the Regional Crisis Management Team Roster of Contact information.
  5. Coordinate and facilitate Regional Crisis Management Team training.
  6. Organize, coordinate, and lead, required executive security measures including initial planning, liaison and execution for the Client’s senior management, as required.
  7. Obtain, assess, and disseminate information on personal safety (including residential security reviews) within the region for expatriate employees and families as well as business travelers.
  8. Participates as a member of the Regional Compliance Board reporting to Compliance Manager.
  9. Participate in local/regional security mutual aid organizations dealing with regional security issues. (OSAC and ACSG and others)
  10. Participate as a regional representative on the Anti-Counterfeiting Council and coordinates anti-counterfeiting activities in the region.
  11. Produce high quality written reports and executive summaries.
  12. Promote consistent and enthusiastic focus on customer service.
  13. Travel within region, on short notice, to undertake urgent tasks such as investigations, executive security, and/or security support for unplanned events.
  14. All other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Hiring Standards:
  • Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
  • Must meet the country’s age requirements.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in China.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English and Mandarin.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma, G.E.D or equivalent; with Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent work experience. Twelve years of progressively responsible experience in security or related industry or business is required.
Bi-lingual skills; English and Mandarin are required.

  • Travel to all countries within the region, as required.
