Role:
Responsible for protecting the company's assets and interests which include personnel, property/operations, products, brand and intellectual property (IP). Principal activities include the following: Managing and delivering security support to HP staff and businesses in North Asia and South East Asia (geographical scope may change over time)
Responsibilities:
Principal activities include the following:
• Working with the company business and functional groups globally, designs, develops, implements and administers cost-effective, pro-active security programs and services. Encompasses executive protection, product authentication, anti-fraud, physical security, supply chain security, online security, contingency planning, and crisis management response. Includes analysis, design, audit, training and reporting related to these programs and services.
• Leads security-related communications, promotes security awareness, designs and maintains communications channels to facilitate the distribution of time-sensitive security alerts, threat assessments, general travel guidance and other content.
• Investigates allegations/incidents of illegal activity, violations of corporate policies, and serious impropriety by employees. Provides management with assessments/advice on organizations or individuals who are contemplating or using illegal or disruptive tactics against company.
• Maintain liaison with domestic and international law enforcement, governmental security and intelligence agencies, industry organizations, and relevant organizations and individuals, to collect information relating to the security of company assets and interests.
• Continually assesses and aligns security resources with risks.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 5-8 years security experience, including a mix of law enforcement, military, intelligence and/or corporate experience. Must include corporate experience and operational management of multiple security disciplines (e.g., operations, executive protection, systems, etc).
• Global security experience, accreditations and multiple language proficiency are desirable.
Knowledge & Skills
• Fluent in English and high level of written ability.
• Able to read and write Mandarin (a must)
• Manager roles: Recognized authority in security theories, techniques and technologies for one or more security disciplines, along with broad general security knowledge.
• Ability to manage security teams in the region remotely.
• Sound ethical judgment required.
• Developed leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and teaching.
• Superior ability to use security systems and applications.
• Advanced analytical skills. Ability to identify complex security issues and customize, implement/execute innovative processes and solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in complex situations.
• Advanced interpersonal and communications skills, including presentation, reporting and consulting. Proven "customer service" and relationship management skills.
• Advanced project management skills, including planning, execution, and implementation.
• Able to manage security vendors and relating finance / budget.
• Established range of professional contacts. Familiar with the range of professional security literature.
• Practical knowledge of the current security environment in local geography.
