The American Embassy in Manama is seeking candidates for employment as Surveillance Detection Guard (s) in the Regional Security Office(RSO).
1.Education:
Completion of secondary school (high school) is required.
2.Experience:
One to two years of security or related experience, such as previous military or police experience in a
position that involved observation skills and techniques
is required.
3.Language:
Level 2 (limited knowledge) English (will be tested) is required. Level 1 (basic) Arabicand/or Hindi/Urdu (will be tested)is required.
4.Knowledge:
Must be familiar with procedures for conducting security functions.
Good knowledge of Bahraini culture, traditions, behavioral patterns, attitudes, and religious and political issues is required. Familiarity with road networks and topography of the area and all driving routes is required.
5.Abilities &Skills:
A valid Bahraini driver's license is required. Ability to read signs carried by groups of people and understand verbal chants and slogans, etc. Sound keyboard/typing and computer skills are required to produce incident reports. Must be skilled in the use of security and/or technical equipment, such as digital cameras, binoculars etc. Must have strong organizational and observation skills. Must be able to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances without requesting guidance. Must maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness. Must be able to read and understand, for example, regulations, instructions and related material concerning the field of work, and to prepare correspondence and standardized reports.
