Security Manager

Daily Rate GW offers a competitive daily rate to all personnel. (Contractor will only be paid for days spent on-duty)
Rotation 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off - subject to operational requirements

Duration of Task Open Ended

Travel Pay Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days).
Package GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance and life support.
Flight Package The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in the United Kingdom and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight.

Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside the United Kingdom.



For example: If the cost to deploy GW Contractor from his local airport hub to Baghdad is more than GBP900.00 then any additional costs will be borne by the contractor

Fluent English speaking.
Experienced in managing risk in remote areas.
Experienced in producing comprehensive risk assessments and risk registers
Experienced in Emergency Response Planning and Incident Management
Corporate Social Responsibility / Tribal Liaison experience.
International driver license.
Good team & interpersonal skills.
Training in Human Rights and International Law
Must have experience of writing, complex security plans; coupled with developing project security plans and standing operating procedures for the project location.
Must have strong understanding of financial accounts for payroll, as well as operational expenses for the project.
Must have a good understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management systems.
Must have experience to lead the commercial team from the front; setting high standards for all to follow.
Must be able to communicate with clients and prepare daily reports; as well prepare security briefs as required.
Strong communications and IT skills, including use of all Microsoft programmes; Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook.

Job Duties Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
To be point of contact for all liaison between the GW Project staff, local militias or Government security forces – and the operation at field level.
To provide risk assessments and management of project specific Risk Management Register
To brief new visitors on site on security procedures and relevant information about the situation in the area.
To produce and implement site-specific emergency responses procedures.
Advise the client on aspects of physical and procedural, security, risk mitigation measures and security planning.
Will manage and maintain all project finances including PSA accounts.
Ownership and Management of all GW/Client QHSE plans and policies ensuring full compliancy.
Will prepare project time sheets, so that expatriate staff and LN staff can be paid correctly.
Will review all security plans once a month; adapt the plan to fit with any new Ericsson operating standards.
Prepare and submit all vehicle movement schedules to GW operations/client on a daily basis.
Communicate training needs to the in country training manager on a weekly basis.
Any other tasks as the ROM sees fit.
Command and control of the PSD, to ensure team members are adequately informed, skilled, equipped and supervised to conduct their duties safely, in compliance with GOI rules and regulations, GardaWorld policies and SOPs.
Ensure all team medical equipment is maintained in an operational condition.
Maintain all equipment and medicines in a sterile state before, ‘use by date’
Provide immediate emergency medical support (trauma or primary care) to personnel.
Liaise with specialist medical departments such as air support and evacuation teams.
Demonstrate continuous professional development of medical skills and treatment techniques.
Maintain contemporary knowledge of clinical guidelines and treatment techniques.
Liaise, meet with the client in the appropriate manner.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise PSD members, and influence then to take positive action and accountability for their work.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Maintain high standard of welfare, morale and discipline in the team,.
