As a Regional Security Manager, EMEA, you will be responsible for the security and safety of Uber’s staff, properties and assets in EMEA. You will work cross functionally with local, regional and HQ leadership in order to execute on globally focused projects.

As a Regional Security Manager, EMEA, you will be responsible for the security and safety of Uber’s staff, properties and assets in EMEA. You will work cross functionally with local, regional and HQ leadership in order to execute on globally focused projects.
What you'll do
- Be the Global Security POC for the EMEA region and oversee functional security & safety for all staff, locations and operations.
- Establish a safe and secure work environment in the EMEA region.
- Proactively identify, mitigate and manage threats.
- Ensure a regional resilience to incidents impacting the company staff, assets & operations.
- Ensure a cost & performance efficient program by the properly selecting, screening and managing of security vendors.
- Develop and implement a security awareness and education program and materials for our city teams.
- Audit current security & safety conditions and conduct threat assessments as required.
- Implement and manage the Travel Security Program for travel to and in the EMEA region.
- Establish and maintain a strong network of Police, Government Officials and Security contacts across the EMEA region.
- Coordinate and manage company responses to incidents as needed to address threats directed towards any staff, physical assets or operations. Turn lessons learned into new E&A materials and update the city teams as well as procedures.
- Be the subject matter expert on Event Security and work closely with the city teams to provide and implement proper security measurements.
- Maintain strong relationships and effective communication across all business operations.
- Ensure the security & safety program is engaged with the direction of the business.
- Liaise with the regional workplace teams on the design and build of all new office space to ensure compliance with all group security & safety standards.
- 8+ years experience in a security management role, from which at least 4 years dedicated to the EMEA region.
- High level knowledge of EMEA specific threats, risks and operational challenges.
- Recent on-the-ground, hands-on experience across the EMEA region as the “Go to person” is mandatory.
- A strong, flexible and not afraid of a challenge security professional for this awesome Security Ops role.
- Military or civilian law enforcement background is a big plus.
- Ability to manage security challenges in a constantly changing, fast paced, high threat environment.
- Direct experience in implementing and managing physical security systems.
- Strong experience managing contract security services in the EMEA region, budget management and KPIs.
- A well established professional network of security and law enforcement contacts throughout the EMEA region.
- Strong knowledge of implementing and managing a Travel Security Program.
- Being capable to foster a culture of Trust, Honesty and Integrity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and hands-on experience with business continuity principles and crisis management.
- An experienced and strong communicator.
- Travel required as needed to get things done and stay connected in the EMEA region.
