Job description:
Our client is seeking a corporate security representative to join their regional operating out of New York; the role will support the highest level of safety and security, with risk mitigation strategies centered on the following functional areas: threat and risk assessments to business operations, employee safety and security, site security, security systems, crisis and incident management, and business continuity.

As an integral member of a fast-paced, dynamic team the successful candidate will be instrumental in contributing to the execution of our core goals
- Enabling business by mitigating risks to people, facilities and business operations.
- Ensuring timely response to incidents to minimize business disruption.
- Continued development of the framework, processes and tools to enable the company to ensure business resilience.
- Threat and Risk Assessments focused on business operations at the local, city and country level.

Candidate profile: The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the physical security and resilience arena. Private sector experience gained within a Blue Chip institution is required, in addition to the following:

The Person:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant work experience
- Strong skills in developing relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
- Experience in developing resilience strategies and analysis of physical threats and trends in the Americas, particularly the New York Metropolitan area
- Demonstrated capabilities of operating at both an operational and tactical level
- Working knowledge of emergency management, life safety, and physical security
- Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures, managing relationships with third party providers and identifying industry best practices
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with vendor negotiations
- Proven experience in budget management and business planning
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience in assessing and executing operational contingency plans based on threats and exposure to business operations and staff
- Experience in managing travel security programs, particularly in hostile environments and emerging markets

- Convincing leadership during incident management
- Strong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including directing & coordinating virtual teams to achieve deliverables
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to enforce security without sacrificing customer service
- Attention to accuracy as well as the ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
