Special Operations Medical Trainer

Duties
The primary goal of this program is to provide subject matter expertise and training support to assist Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan (CSTC-A) and NATO Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan (NSOCC-A) through Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (SOTF-A) and Afghan National Army Special Operations Command-Special Operations Advisory Group (ANASOC-SOAG), in the execution of their mission. The mission is to train ANASOC units to perform their duties and
responsibilities independent of Coalition assistance
The Special Operations Medical Trainer/Trainer shall train their counterpart on the following tasks:
Teach Specialty and SFQC Cadre and students (if needed) to perform and maintain proficiency in all their major duties
Ensures detachment medical preparation and maintains medical equipment and supplies, provides examination and care to detachment members and establishes temporary, fixed and unconventional warfare medical facilities to support operations with emergency, routine, and long term medical care
Manages detachment or indigenous patients, administration, admission and discharge, care, laboratory and pharmacological requirements and the initiation, maintenance and transfer of records.
Orders, stores, catalogs, safeguards and distributes medical supplies, equipment and pharmaceutical.
Supervises medical care and treatment during split detachment missions.
Treats emergency and trauma patients in accordance with established surgical principles.
Diagnoses and treats various medical dermatological, pediatric and infectious conditions using appropriate medications, intravenous fluid support and physical measures.
Develops and provides medical intelligence as required
Before the selected individual is deployed he/she understands he/she will be processed through an Individual Deployment Site/CONUS Replacement Center (IDS/CRC)
Prior to deployments individual will read, and thoroughly understand the terms and conditions which he/she will be deployed and the expected field environment

Job Requirements
Experiences: Minimum of three years’ experience mentoring/training and advising within Afghanistan and/or Muslim environment
Minimum of 10 years of military medical experience
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
U.S. Army/Navy/Airforce E7 or Higher; Combat Medic/Corpsman

Preffered Qualifications: 
Operational OEF experience
EFMB
Experience training Afghans on medical TTPs in Afghanistan
Special Operations Qualification course graduate.
