Job Description
This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Senior Military Operations Trainer reports to the Task Order Project Manager and operates within the confines of the Program of Instruction for the AFRICAP contract.
The employee manages all aspects of tactical military training to include curriculum development and tactical training.
Provides mentorship to senior officers and NCO's as required.
The position will be a part of a team of employees embedded in an African military providing training on a variety of subjects.
The Senior Tactical Military Trainer must have prior military experience as a senior officer / SNCO.
Understands western doctrine and how to implement training standards.
Recognizes the end-state of US foreign policy and understands how to implement goals and objectives both as a mentor and trainer.
Must understand course curriculum development, course review, and how to keep interest in a classroom environment.


Job Requirements
Any combination of command, training and experience equaling a Master’s degree is preferred, with a minimum of 18 - 25 years of increasingly responsible senior training and mentoring experience in the field of individual and collective skills.
Preferably an individual with military training as a background; experience at an E-9 to O-6 level.
Individual must have experience operating in areas with limited life cycle support and in hardship conditions.
Previous experience in the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), or U.S. Department of State, Bureau of African Affairs or U.S. diplomatic missions in Africa is a plus. Experience in Africa with security assistance, humanitarian assistance, peacekeeping efforts or security sector reform will be favorably considered.
