Security/ Patrolling Supervisor , Dubai

A successful candidate must have:
  • High school diploma or a related degree
  • DPS Training Certificate
  • Valid UAE Driving License
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the security field in UAE
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role
  • Good knowledge in security equipment and communication technology
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills. Additional Languages are an advantage
  • High Leadership skills and good work ethics
  • Ability to work individually with minimum supervision
  • Computer literacy

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Conduct day and night spot inspections of all sites, been provided with guarding facilities by the company.
  • Collect the daily attendances from respective sites each shift and hand it over to the Assistant Managers.
  • Ensure guard mounting of respective sites is complete, as per contract with the Client.
  • Any shortage with manpower should immediately be reported to the Assistant Managers.
  • Prepare a daily report and checklists of all sites visited as per format and forward the report to Assistant Managers the next working day.
  • Report crisis of serious nature immediately to the Line Manager.
  • Conduct on duty and off duty parades, random sites should be chosen each day.
  • Supervise the guarding duties being performed by each guard at respective sites.
  • Vary the patrol timings on a daily basis, on a voluntary basis and also as directed by the IFA Management.
  • The following forms a part of their inspections but are not limited to these activities:
    • Ensure all Security Personnel follow SOP’s.
    • Assist the guard at any site having a crisis at hand during the period of his duty. Peruse Attendance Register.
    • Occurrence book (OB) – Team Leaders to sign on and off duty in the occurrence book.
    • Ensure that there is a correct shift handover.
    • Ensure that security personnel are dressed in the correct and complete uniform.
    • Personal Hygiene is in keeping with the organizational standards. Sober and fit for duty.
    • Peruse all the registers daily. Ensure data integrity.
    • Ensure availability of ‘Post Orders’ at all posts manned by guards.
    • Ensure that the Security officers on site are maintaining access control procedures developed by Client and IFA Management.
    • Maintain a state of vigilance with regards to the general safety conditions, general building housekeeping, and give attention to any fire threat, lost property, suspicious persons or other activities.
    • Report and investigate all building incidents involving fire that cause, structural, or material damage of any kind.
    • Record any incident and report it immediately to the appropriate Management.
    • Notify Management immediately in the event of an emergency or the attendance of any emergency personnel such as the Police or the Civil Defense.
    • Ensure that the Fire Fighting equipment in the immediate area of Security Personnel is always in working order, maintained and operational.
    • Ensure the upkeep of fire notices, building plans which indicate escape routes, emergency exit notices, and fire assembly areas.
    • Complete Daily report and incident report, monthly report and the same will be sent to management on or before the agreed dates and times Induct new employee onsite and conduct on the job training for staff and evaluate performance.
    • Assist in the explanation of procedures to staff concerning equipment and materials used in the customer site.
    • Ensure the safe storage of security equipment and maintain records thereof.
    • Act as Fire Marshalls; participate in scheduled fire drills.
    • Establish records of fire drills and building fire incidents.
    • Ensure that information received from IFA Management is disseminated to guards.
    • Ensure correct radio procedure and ethic are maintained.
    • To identify training needs of the guards.
    • Oversee and report discipline issues as required.
