We are looking for a Security Officer for our Club NOIR. Your primary objectives will be the protection of people (both Guests & Staff), property and profit within the Meliá Doha.

Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a similar job in 5* hotels
  • English (Fluent)
  • Arabic and Spanish (views favourably)
  • Availability for joining the team in Doha in 1 month or less
  • To work within the parameters of the Security Operational Procedures and the Hotel’s policy and procedures
  • To represent the Hotel and the Security Department in the absence of the Security Manager
  • To assist Guests and Staff to evacuate the building at the time of emergencies, ensuring that panic is minimised and control maintained
  • To be the first point of contact in respect of a guest requiring assistance, and taking the necessary action to resolve the issue
  • To ensure accurate documentation is maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • To ensure an accurate account of any incidents is recorded in the Occurrence Book, Separate Occurrence Report or Incident Report
  • To be aware of all statutory requirements such as the Fire Precautions Act 1971, Licensing Laws, Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, Hotel Liabilities in respect of losses by guests and health and safety legislation
  • To prevent theft and damage to the property of guests, staff and the company and report and investigate all criminal occurrences
  • To respond to all alarms and take action as directed in respect of any emergency situation
  • To conduct regular bag and locker searches to prevent losses for the Hotel
  • To control and supervise a daily distribution of master and metal keys
  • To assist the Police and other Agencies in the protection of visiting VIPs
  • To maintain the Security Office and monitor the usage of security related equipment (CCTV, patrolling devices, safes, locks, lock programming device, access control infrastructure)
