Daily rate GardaWorld offers a competitive daily rate to all personnel. (Contractor will only be paid whilst on-duty – no payment made for Off-duty)
Rotation To be determined, but likely to be a single position without Back to Back.
Duration of Task Approx 6 months, (with potential to extend to 1 year)

Travel Pay:Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days).There is no £75 travel allowance applicable on this project placement.

Package:
GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support

The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in the United Kingdom and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight.
Flight Package:
Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside the United Kingdom.

Hiring Criteria:

Must be fluent French Speaking with Algeria experience
Valid ALGERIAN VISA Preferred – not essential
Minimum 5 year – Military/armed police background
Minimum of 2 years commercial security experience
Minimum 1 year Security Manager experience as an Ops Coord, Ops Manager or Project Manager.
Must have experience of writing, security plans; coupled with developing standard operating procedures.
Must be familiar with writing extraction plans by air, road and sea
Must be familiar with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPHRS) and the UN Guiding Principles (UNGPs)
Must have a good understanding of Health and Safety at work.
Comprehensive knowledge of Word and Excel software
Excellent standard of written and spoken English
Proven report writing skills and verbal briefing experience
Criminal Record check – available on request
Close protection operative – Security Industry Authority (SIA) standard or country equivalent

Duties:

Is likely to be based in Tebessa, in the North East of Algeria.
On behalf of the client to create & ensure that country security directives and guidelines are implemented and complemented by local security instructions if needed: To include facility sites, mines and residential locations in country
Responsible for proper implementation of legal, statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements on security
Coordinate security activities for all sites related to the client project to include Security Plans & SOPS
Manage security incidents and investigations in accordance with the Security Incident Handling Process and Investigation Framework
Facilitate risk assessments based on business requirements, agreements and activities.
Monitor and control costs and quality within the area of security, including outsourced security functions
Monitor and follow up security installations/solutions in building projects and report deviations to the client and GW
Assist in due diligence processes to perform risk assessments of vendors and partners, when requested
Drive security awareness activities amongst personnel
Support and participate in audits and internal investigations
Recruit, train and mentor a new Algerian national security manager, who will eventually take on the full role for the Client
Mentor the already existing staff as necessary to include the introduction of performance review management and implementation of personal KPIs
Liaise with Algerian authorities and local communities to ensure smooth operation of client’s facilities.
There is an existing security audit report which has recommendations to enhance the security situation within country. An action plan must be written from this report to implement the report’s recommendations
