Job description
Manager South Africa Security & Loss Prevention. Will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of security & loss prevention policies, procedures and practices in South Africa in support of logistic operations, warehouse/distribution center locations, offices and Brightstar employees. This position will be based in Johannesburg and reports to the Global Director of Security & Loss Prevention.
KEY ACTIVITIES
This position requires an individual who has a broad base of security knowledge, the ability to identify and analyze security issues and trends and collaborate with non-security personnel in the implementation of security & loss prevention programs.
• Supply Chain Security: Assist Global Director Security & Loss Prevention in establishing: guidelines, procedures and training materials for supply chain security programs. Implement and maintain a security manual to be utilized at all warehouse/distribution center locations & operations as a benchmark for compliance to global supply chain security initiatives. Track losses and shrinkage and implement loss prevention processes to reduce losses and shrinkage in supply chain. Assist in conducting facility audits, to include Brightstar locations, supplier facilities, and review related security & loss prevention items on self-assessments (to include COPE documents) by business teams.
• Investigate stock loss events and other incidents in a collaborative approach among the client business groups. This will require a strong relationship with Operations, local management, logistic service providers and the business clients served.
• Responsible for the development of facilities security policies, guidelines and standards and provide leadership in contextualizing and mainstreaming them in South Africa.
• Assist local management team with the creation of Crisis Management Planning reflective of local risk exposures in South Africa operation.
• As required, collaborate with local law enforcement to assess risk levels, implement security measures to protect Brightstar people and assets and investigate all crime incidences related to extortion, assault and theft.
• Manage company travel security protocols for South Africa that includes security awareness for travelers, direct support to executive travel, programs that monitor travel throughout Africa and intervention strategies in the event of emergencies.
• Identify and develop strategic security networks to share information on security issues affecting Brightstar operations in South Africa. Required Travel20-30%
