Description:
The Security and Access Control Contract (SACC) is currently recruiting for Armed Canine Handlers (detection only) for Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands. Selected applicants will be responsible maintaining training and certification IAW Army Regulation 190-12; inspection of personnel, cargo, luggage, baggage and mail at an international airport and seaport and throughout the installation; assistance manning entry/access control points, and performing roving patrols and escort duties to ensure the overall security for the US Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll Regan Test Site.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Pursuant to a government contract, be a U.S. Citizen,
Three years of canine detection work in a police or military environment,
Be a High School graduate or possess a GED,
Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License,
Ability to qualify with a Berretta 9mm pistol,
Meet contract weight and grooming standards,
Ability to pass Physical Ability Test,
Pass a background/security investigation,
Pass a pre-employment medical and drug test and remain drug free during period of employment,
Be available to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays,
Be proficient with the English language,
Possess excellent communication skills and knowledge in security operations,
Be able to obtain/maintain an active Security Clearance,
Maintain suitability IAW AR 190-51.
