Regional Security Manager – Consulting & Training, Dubai

The role’s primary responsibility is to drive delivery of all travel security solutions in Middle East & North East Africa with a particular focus on driving revenue growth and cross-alliance collaboration. The role will have a strong focus on the coordination of business development support to the International SOS and Control Risks distribution channels in Middle East in order to drive customer satisfaction and profitable growth. A significant element of the role’s commercial responsibilities will be given to coordination/ delivery of travel security evacuation planning and training in the Middle East. Given the high tempo of security operations in MENSA it is envisages that at least 30% of the effort will be given to supporting the RSC’s operational activity, specifically standing in as the acting Regional Security Manager (Operations) – MENSA, and leading operational Incident Management Team deployments across the wider MENSA region. 10% of the role’s available effort will be devoted to inter-regional & intra-regional change management and innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Support to Business Development & Account Extension Opportunities
  • Supporting the growth of the security business in the region through a focus on quality of service and support to sales and marketing efforts:
    • Sales/bid team membership for significant new business or renewal opportunities
    • Marketing activities
    • Referrals to CR and/or International SOS
    • Big event planning, packaging and sales
  • Providing local market, customer and competitor insight
Consulting and Training
  • Deliver training and consulting tasks across the sub-region and, where personal expertise enables, outside of the region
  • Maintain and develop a pool of external consultants to support delivery of training and consulting tasks.
  •      Manage the development of proposals and service delivery contracts in conjunction with other stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and input into the creation and delivery of Personal Travel Security Awareness Training (PTSAT) programmes – including online solutions.
  • Provide close support to regional sales staff (meetings, marketing events, seminars) and assist in explaining the positioning of TSS delivered services (including TSMS) to clients and prospects across the sub-region
  • Provide input to the development of product innovation
  • Delivery of professional training services via eLearning, remote virtual technologies and face-to-face
  • Understudy and stand-in for the Security Director Southern & East Africa when required
Operational Deployment & Case Management
  • Ensuring that clients’ calls and cases are effectively managed to the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining awareness of the regional security situation through monitoring the Travel Security Online and Country Risks Forecast reports and open sources and through daily interaction with the Regional Information Manager (RIM)
  • Deploying as or leading an Incident Management Team in response to an incident where clients require on-the-ground assistance
  • Contributing to the development of a network of high quality security service providers throughout the region, working closely with regional Control Risks offices and the Global Assistance Network teams in International SOS
  • Understudy and stand-in for the Regional Security Manager (Operations) - MENSA when required

  • Commercial consulting experience ideally in training, security consulting or related disciplines
  • Undergraduate degree (or relevant professional training) in a field related to security or international relations studies. 
  • Accredited as a Certified Protection Professional by the American Society of Industrial Security or similar industry body
  • Excellent spoken and written English Language
  • Travel dependant on business needs
