Job Summary
Under the direction of Community Security Manager, in charge for KAUST water, security manpower and
security vessels.
Assure of security measures are implemented in all KAUST sea boundary.
Conduct effective communication and co-operation between Marine Security and the other relevant parties of KAUST and Government Agencies.
Major Responsibilities
Handles all matters within the limit of his delegated authority either by direct personal representation or advice and guidance to line organizations in the conduct of business with Government Agencies.
In charge for KAUST water, marine security manpower and security vessels.
Make sure that KAUST water boundary is fully secured by conducting patrolling around the clock.
Command the vessels, and patrol routes.
Coordinate with all operations required and movements with CG, 911 and Marina
Exchange security information with Government Agencies.
Enhancing security awareness and vigilance at all harbors.
Ensuring adequate training for personnel responsible for the security of ports & security vessels.
Ensuring effective communication and co-operation between Marine security and the relevant parties as blue zone shift supervisor, 911, coast guard and marine in-charge personnel.
Ensuring consistency between security requirements and safety requirements.
Ensuring training, drills and exercises are carried out as required to assure of the manpower capabilities to handle emergencies.
Make sure that all security personnel are familiar with security instructions/ and the post order.
Prepared all required documents as the Post order, Roles and responsibilities of each marina positions.
Establish the required format as the handover checklists, attendance sheet, and shift schedule.
Set all required action to deal with the emergencies as:
Unidentified Vessel
o Vessel on Fire
o Accidents/dangerous activities
Liaison with Harbor Master to assure of security compliance.
Assure of security measures are implemented in all Marine area/ and activities as diving, Fishing Trips, Jet Ski, water ski.
Arranging for internal audits and reviews of security activities.
Reviewing and concurring with Auditing recommendations and ensuring that Audit recommendations are implemented.
Non-Technical Skills or Attributes
Ability to lead personnel
Must be diplomatic, tactful in dealing with a different cases
Ability to interact and communicate with peer, business partners and security management, as well as with people from many different cultures.
Computer literacy
Conducts all actions with the highest level of professionalism
Required Experience
Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills
Excellent command of English language
Ability to speak Arabic is preferred but not required
Experience in marine security
