International Security Manager - Libya

Daily Rate
GW offers a competitive daily rate to all personnel. (Contractor will be paid whilst On-Duty only)

Rotation
6 weeks on, 6 weeks off.

Likely duration of task
Until March 2015 with possible extension

Travel/Flight Pay Details
Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days). There is no travel allowance applicable on this project placement.

Package
Accommodation, plus insurance and flights, as outlined below. The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in Europe and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight. Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside Europe The daily rate incorporates a per diem for all food expenses incurred on-duty.

For example: If the cost to deploy GW Contractor from his local airport hub to Libya is more than EUR750.00 then any additional costs will be borne by the contractor

GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation


Job Duties
Nature of the position
The ISM will be the point of contact with the Mission’s Security Office for which any matters of concern or dispute between the Contractor and EUBAM Libya Mission staff and/or procedures will be dealt with solely by him/her and cannot be delegated to any of his/her subordinates.
Manage the operations in all of its functions;
Ensure that all employees are qualified for the role for which they are employed within the Contract;
Conduct regular in-theatre training to ensure that all personnel employed by the Contractor are totally competent in their given role. This training is to include the development and practice of actions to be taken in the event of serious incident and emergencies.
Coordinate the entire Close Protection Team, Guard Force, Operations Room as well as the QRF support;
Coordinate daily operations with the Mission Security Department;
Coordinate the activities of the Close Protection teams to ensure that they provide a professional and discreet service;
Coordinate the definition and organisation of driver trainings as developed with and directed by Security Department.
Provide on a daily, weekly and monthly basis a report analysing the security situation in the country. Said reports must be sourced in order for the SMSO or his/her designated Deputy to be able to cross check and reference the information.
Setup and keep updated a database of all security related incidents that occur in Libya.
The development of procedures will be done in conjunction with the Mission’s Security Office to ensure total interoperability, compliance and coordination.
