Package Description:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of cash management including the development and management of process and people. Responsible for ensuring security, procedural compliance and productivity in cash centers and other locations where teller services and cash processing may be conducted. Reconciliation and reports must be submitted in a timely manner in compliance with policy, and SLA’s.
Role Responsibility:
- Forecast cash center holdings ensuring operating limits are not exceeded and maintaining customer holdings in line with SLA’s
- Ensure processing of cash adhering to central bank requirements, and inline with customer SLA’s
- Review and drive improvements in cash management maintaining high levels of security
- Consolidation and timely submission of reports internally and externally
- Ensure availability of operational equipment
- Maintain adequate stock of consumables
- Ensure Company Policies and Procedures are maintained, updated, implemented and followed.
- Responsible for the training of newly appointed staff
- Improve on productivity and reduce cash holdings
- Reduce customer complaints and reduce shortages
- Improve efficiency of inflow and outflow of consignments
- Staff management and development
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5-8 years Experience of Cash operations and line management in the banking sector
- Capable of leading a team in a time of change
- Experience of managing in a labour intensive, multi-shift environment is essential
- The ability to challenge the norm and achieve sustainable change
- Capable of developing management team skills and enable succession plan accomplishment
- Relevant Diploma in Finance or Business Management
