Vice President Global Corporate Security – Asia

Introduction
The Global Technology & Operations area within MetLife is seeking a London-based corporate
security leader with at least 10 years of relevant experience. He or she will report to the Head of Global Corporate Security as Vice President, Global Corporate Security – Asia and will oversee MetLife’s corporate security operations in all of Asia where MetLife is present.

Responsibilities
This position has regional accountability for developing and directing MetLife’s Asia security program from both a strategic and tactical standpoint and will be based in Hong Kong. The incumbent will be responsible for providing a full range of protection, crisis management and response, event security, executive protection and security-related risk assessments including:
  • Regularly and proactively assesses and mitigates ongoing and emerging risks to MetLife’s associates, sites and operations
  • Establishes and maintains relationships in the region with appropriate government and law enforcement agencies
  • Oversees implementation of MetLife’s workplace and site security standards and processes
  • Oversees training and other educational efforts for regional employees to establish a culture of security and prevent workplace violence
  • Works closely with Global Head of Crisis Management to oversee implementation of crisis management protocols; responds to regional security incidents and crises, when appropriate
  • Provides security-related risk assessments
  • Oversees implementation of requisite corporate security technology
  • Communicates regularly on the efficiency and effectiveness of Asia’s security program
  • Provide subject matter expertise on security issues to senior management
  • Responsible for managing regional security personnel, including hiring, directing, evaluating and developing security team associates
Job Requirements
  • At least 10 years of  intelligence, military or private sector experience in delivery of security programs with a significant international component
  • Prior leadership experience in corporate security or a similar private sector setting
  • Effective oral and written communication, including the ability to make presentations to high-level executives and prepare written policies and reports
  • Strong security network of government agency, global law enforcement, third party risk providers and security peers
  • Proven ability to manage security vendors
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current security and emergency response techniques, issues, equipment, procedures and security threats
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Advanced degree preferred
  • Chinese, Japanese, Korean or other relevant regional language skills a plus.
