GardaWorld has a variety of projects located throughout the Middle East and Emerging Markets. We are seeking suitably qualified, experienced candidates to be considered for this role in Mali – see details below
Start Date: 22 December 2014 (subject to Malian visa processing)
Daily rate: Euro Fees €275.00 per day (Contractor will only be paid for days spent on-duty)
Rotation: 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off (subject to operational requirements) to include 24hr handover/takeover (HOTO) period where the both International Security Manager shall be present on site.
Duration of Task: Enduring (subject to future review)
Travel Pay: Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days).
Package: GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance and life support this will be located onsite with the clients. Accommodation will be at the SOGEA-SATOM villa.
Flight Package: Accommodation included (food included when deployed in Niafunké), plus insurance and flights, as outlined below. The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in EUROPE and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight. Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside EUROPEONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THIS STANDARD
Hiring Criteria:
French: fluent/native, advanced written AND spoken, with ability to create compelling arguments, detailed documentation, protocols and plans
English: advanced written AND spoken, with ability to create compelling arguments, detailed documentation, protocols and plans
Extensive corporate, civil security & project security experience.
Extensive project security & safety management experience, working in client facing environment
Requires integrated approach working with various stakeholders and corporate departments (CSR, HSE, Operations)
Former experience in facility or corporate security environments
5 years private security experience, to include client facing consultancy
Previous experience in West or Central Africa or Mali
High standards of planning and operational documentation production
HSE knowledge
Job Duties: International Security Manager will be a member of Coordination Cell especially implemented and dedicated to SOGEA-SATOM in Mali. He will share all the responsibilities of the Head of Coordination Cell/Project Manager, according to a structure decided by the Head of Coordination Cell/Project Manager.He should be responsible for:
Help the Head of Coordination Cell/Project Manager establish all the documentation and plans required (redaction and updates of a General Security Plan, including Crisis Management Plan, Evacuation Plan, housing, work places, medical emergencies, etc.);
Coordination and monitoring closely the security/safety aspects (implementation of security procedures, continued monitoring of expatriates’ location);
Crisis Management (implementation of the dedicated procedures in case of crisis, animation of an emergency response unit )
Formation (raise awareness of the security situation among Sogea-Satom personnel and expatriates with briefings, formation, etc)
Ensuring the Malian Army’s deployment, while working in coordination with the Army POC
Management of the Deputy International Security Manager located in Niafunké
Management of the local Guard Force provided by SECURICOM
Reporting to the Head of Coordination Cell/Project Manager located in Bamako and taking guidance from him on all aspects of the role.
