# of Openings: 2 Job Summary:
Several of our experts will advise and assist our client’s staff in the performance and professionalization of signal staff functions for a main force joint headquarters with multiple, diverse subordinate units. While doing so, these experts will incorporate lessons learned from contemporary combat operations and applicable military doctrine from the UAE, U.S., and other nations.
These experts must be proficient in:
• planning and integrating the installation, employment and maintenance of all manner of tactical and non-tactical signal support systems and communications networks (to include but not limited to radio, wire, satellite, and automated telecommunications systems);
• developing staff information services policy and procedures;
• establishing unit signal maintenance programs, policies and procedures;
• planning and conducting Division, Brigade and Battalion Signal support operations, while coordinating signal activities with higher, lower, and adjacent military units and headquarters;
• providing technical advice and assistance to commanders and subordinate units.
Primary Task: Advise and assist client staff in developing and implementing appropriate signal staff support functionality and capability throughout the depth of the client organization.
Essential Functions: Collaborate with teammates and client personnel to develop professional signal staff support functionality and capability tailored to the UAE’s unique operational environment. Advise and assist client personnel in doctrine-based processes and techniques that increase client abilities to assess situations, integrate available assets, and design signal support concepts that meet operational needs. Provide technical assistance and mentorship to the client’s subordinate units, based on guidance from the command’s signal officer. Interact with TechWise Global teammates, to ensure consistency of themes, terms, and concepts across the entire project. Work closely with Arabic language translators to convert English narrative and graphics into understandable Arabic, as well as to convert client documents from Arabic into English to enhance the Team’s understanding of the command and staff operational environment. Build trust-based relationships with the client’s staff and subordinate units, to recognize and address client requirements. In conjunction with the Project Manager, develop and update an execution plan that describes tasks, schedules, performance standards, and deliverable products. Conduct training with select client personnel to create long-term operational effectiveness. Perform additional duties as required to support client requirements.
Required Qualifications:
• Former U.S., British, Australian, or other Western military signals professional who retired as a senior non-commissioned officer (US Army Master Sergeant equivalent) or Warrant Officer
• Served as a signal staff section non-commissioned officer in charge at brigade/group-level, or higher, command
• Fifteen-plus years of experience training and directing the execution of signal support to joint, combined, and interagency operations
• Graduate of a Battle Staff NCO or service equivalent staff NCO training course
• Proven abilities to lead and achieve superior results while operating in diverse, rapidly changing operational settings
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills
• Possess active U.S. Secret or higher security clearance (or its equivalent)
• Possess a valid U.S. (or country of origin) Passport
Strongly Desired Qualifications and Professional Experiences:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Worked with foreign military forces in an advisory and/or training assistance role
• Taught signal support staff functions at a professional, military education institution
