Unit Support Coordinator (USC)
Responsibilities:
This position / labor category is staffed in accordance with the requirements described below.
- The Unit Support Coordinator (USC) assists the Unit Supervisor (DS Agent) with coordination of team training, integration of policy and staffing. The USC has no operational control over PSS, but serves in an administrative capacity to support RSO. The USC will receive concurrence from the respective RSO Protective Operations Unit Supervisor on team staffing issues.
- The USC shall be designated as a protective security specialist.
- The USC is required to attend the protective security specialist (PSS) training course, as outlined in the contract.
- The USC shall maintain weapons qualifications as outlined in this contract, for the Glock, M4, Shotgun, M240, M249, and M203 and familiarization fire for the AK47.
- USC vetted personnel are authorized to permanently fill the Labor Categories of the Shift Leader, PSS, DDL, and the Deputy Detail Leader/Guard Supervisor.
- Administrative functions, such as, work schedules, post assignments, personnel matters, etc. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Ensure positions/labor categories are filled with qualified personnel.
- Evaluate PSS on a continual basis and identify personnel for movement into leadership positions/labor categories, with concurrence of respective RSO Unit Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- Level 3 English proficiency (see Exhibit A)
- Seven (7) years experience in protective security assignments
- Two (2) of these years shall have been in a protective security supervisory position.
- Twelve (12) months shall have been experience working in protective security under a WPPS or a WPPS II contract.
- Three (3) of these months shall have been as a WPPS or a WPPS II Shift Leader. At the written request of the contractor, the Contracting Officer may waive this requirement on a case by case basis.
- The remaining five (5) years of experience can be gained in the employ of any Federal, State, Local or commercial entities providing high threat protective services.
