Manage and direct protective security operations on a day to day basis.
Responsibilities:
- The SL shall be designated as a protective security specialist (P).
- The SL is required to attend the protective security specialist (PSS) training course.
- The SL must maintain weapons qualifications as outlined in this contract, for the Glock,
- M4, Shotgun, M240, M249 and M203 and familiarization fire for the AK47.
- Vetted shift leaders are authorized to permanently fill the Labor Categories of the PSS in case of shortages.
- Directly supervises protective security specialists including members of the ERT(s)/QRF(s).
- Ensures that all posts and detail positions / labor categories are properly covered and that the detail is operating smoothly in accordance with schedule and preset plans.
- Ensures that all posts of the ERT(s) / QRF(s) are properly covered and ready to respond.
- Ensures that the ERT patrols are completed.
- Directs and controls response actions, if required, through radio communications during motorcades and all ground, air, or water movements
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen, as specified by the Task Order
- Level 3 English proficiency.
- Five (5) years experience in protective security assignments.
- Two (2) of these years shall have been in a supervisory or in-charge-capacity.
- Six (6) months of protective security experience working under the WPPS, WPPS II contract or similar program
- The remaining three (3) years of experience can be gained in the employ of any national, State/Provincial, Local or commercial entities providing high threat protective services.
- Must have valid, current U.S. driver’s license and U.S. tourist passport.
- Must have a personal and, if appropriate, military discharge under honorable conditions.
- Must be able to pass an in-depth medical screening in order to meet the requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be familiar with first aid procedures.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Personnel Security clearance.
- Meet minimum firearms proficiency pre-requisites, including formal training on: Familiarity with weapons safety concerns and procedures.
- Be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Must be able to pass an in-depth background check.
