and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for ACF in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation.
The Security Officer is in charge ofreducing the risks to which the teams, assets, premises and ACF – Spain as an organisation are exposed, through the management of information, the implementation of an appropriate security strategy (acceptance, protection, deterrence) and constant evaluation and update of the security management tools.

Is seeking Security Officer
General ObjectivesThe Security Officer is in charge ofreducing the risks to which the teams, assets, premises and ACF – Spain as an organisation are exposed, through the management of information, the implementation of an appropriate security strategy (acceptance, protection, deterrence) and constant evaluation and update of the security management tools.
Specific Objectives
- Collect, analyse and disseminate the security and context evolution information
- Keep an incident data base.
- Create and maintain a mapping representation system of the security and context evolution information.
- Organise and conduct security meetings with relevant actors in the intervention area.
- Take the necessary measures for the reduction of the exposure to the threats (protection).
- Take the necessary measures for the reduction of the impact.
- Take the necessary measures for the reduction of the threats (acceptance).
- Support the heads of project for the identification of the relevant actors important for the security management in the areas of work
- Assure the constant monitoring and follow up of the security plan.
- Make sure the security plan is known by all staff in accordance to their profile.
- Recruit, train and sensitise the team on security issues
- Graduate in Political Science, Law or Statistic
- International Humanitarian Law, Logical Framework Approach, Logistics, Disaster Risk Management
- Humanitarian field experience
- A previous experience of at least 2 years in a similar position, especially in international NGO.
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Professional personal presentation, Customer service orientation, Information management, Organizing and planning, Attention to detail, Initiative, Reliability, Stress tolerance
- English : COMPULSORY
- Good knowledge of Office package (Excel) and accounting software (SAGA)
- Mobility
