Our client based in Northern Spain would like to interview candidates for the position of Security Superintendent. It would be a distinct advantage if the candidate has a qualification and proven experience in mine safety management.

Essential:
• Ability to speak Spanish or an undertaking to be fully conversant in Spanish within a period of 6
months.
• Must have extensive experience in the mining industry.

Requirements:
• Applicable diploma/degree in security management
• Specific experience in the mining industry
• Ability to implement and manage systems and procedures for the protection of property and raw materials
• Sound knowledge of surveillance systems, techniques and procedures
• Extensive knowledge in respect of mining operations with specific reference to mining plants as well as systems, procedures and techniques to prevent losses.

Key Performance Areas:
• Ensure theft, fraud and loss prevention measures are properly implemented, and that company-wide awareness programs are in place and effective.
• Conduct security assessments for the mine, keep abreast of best practices and emerging security technologies, and ensure that mine wide security awareness programs are implemented.
• Prepare, perform analyses, and report data to management.
