(Embedded with a GardaWorld local security provider)
Job Type Contractor, GW Consulting Middle East Limited
Location Sanaa, Yemen
Start Date ASAP – Subject to visa processing
Daily rate GW offers a competitive daily rate to all personnel. (Contractor only paid whilst on-duty)
Rotation 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off, subject to operational requirements
Duration of Task Open ended

Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days).There is no £75 travel allowance applicable on this project placement.
Package GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support
Flight Package The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in the United Kingdom and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight.

Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside the United Kingdom.

HIRING CRITERIA
First class communication skills
min of 6 years relevant expereince in a similar role with at least 2 years spent in the Middle East
Experienced in managing risks in remote areas.
Experienced in producing comprehensive risk assessments
Experienced in Emergency Response Planning and Incident Management
Medical accredited knowledge preferable, MIRA or FPOS as minimum.
SIA or equivalent CP qualification
Previous Yemen experience desirable
Fluent in English, oral and written along with strong cultural awareness
Arabic proficiency would be an advantage
Experience from working in an international environment
Project management experience
Highly motivated and self-driven
Excellent time management
Presentable
‘Can do’ attitude
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook

The position of the GW Security Manager will be embedded into the GW Yemen local security provider, Cyborg Security Group, to run their operations and to also support the GW Regional Operations Manager.

Main duties include but are not limited to:
Cyborg Security Group responsibilities
To be point of contact for all liaison between the GW ROM and client.
Direct Cyborg security personnel to provide secured movements for GW clients as and when required.
Direct Cyborg security personnel to provide residential security for GW clients as and when required.
Direct Cyborg’s QRT to conduct regular route clearances and act as a basic SAP as and directed by the GW ROM.
To produce and implement site-specific emergency responses procedures, ensuring they are compliant and aligned with GW plans and policies when sites are jointly GW/Cyborg managed.
To ensure all relevant SOPs for operations are in place and are updated on a regular basis, ensuring they are aligned and bridged into GW SOPs when sites are jointly GW/Cyborg managed.
To ensure that security support structure with Cyborg is developed, enhanced and maintained (Ops Room / processes and procedures.
Provide Medical incident planning.
Activate Evacuation Plans as and when directed by the GW ROM.
Maintain accurate and timely client Billing Sheets
Progressive Management

Training



Continuous training required to all Cyborg staff in the form of “on job skills”, and training required for new hires for PSD and Static Guarding respectively. Training to include but not limited to:


Vehicle maintenance
Vehicle search
Driver security situational awareness
Driving in hostile environments
Incident management
Route reconnaissance
Anti-surveillance
Incident response
Rules of Engagement
Weapon handling
Personnel Search
Situational awareness

GardaWorld responsibilities
To provide timely incident alerts to the GW ROM bespoke to GW clients.
To accurately log all incidents via a Google Earth platform in order for GW ROM analysis.
To provide risk assessments of working locations and routes between these locations and the local airport.
To brief new visitors to the worksite on security and evacuation procedures and relevant information about the situation in the area.
To maintain an accurate location chart of all client work locations and routes to / from CYB HQ and GW Villa
Coordinate the work of the Cyborg reporting sources (Daily report)
Conduct when necessary security assessment
Conduct when necessary client visit in support of GW ROM .
