Senior Radar Surveillance Supervisor - Iraq

Purpose of role:
The Senior Radar Surveillance Supervisor will direct Local National Radar Operators to screen the Majnoon Concession for unauthorized access.
A limited command & control response function requires procedural communication with private and local security organizations.


Experience Required:

10+ years of tactical operations room security experience:
o
Radar picture compilation,
o
Electro-optics operation,
o
Threat evaluation,
o
Communications systems and voice procedure
·
Establishing, following and refining standard operating procedures.
·
Oversight and training of radar operators.
·
Conduct of operational and reversionary surveillance and communication system tests.
·
Engineering and contractor liaison to optimize surveillance system performance.
·
Tactical and emergency command and control experience.
·
Ability to manage multi-cultural and multi lingual team of local nationals.
·
Proven track record in operating security surveillance systems in a multi-threat, multi-site security environment.
·
Raw radar and synthetic track familiarity.
·
Ability to interpret and provide map coordinates.

Limited technical ability to administer system alert protocols, including areas of interest and threat bearings, and instigate first level fault diagnosis and rectification.

Awareness of meteorological limitations on radar and IR propagation.

Personal attributes:
A high calibre security professional with a minimum of 10 years relevant security experience, specifically with the following experience;

A motivated individual with high levels of energy, excellent team working skills, a "can do" attitude, and when required, be prepared to stretch personal and business goals.

Operational experience of similar extreme threat hostile operating environment.

Associated and demonstrable competence in Security supervision.

Must have good communication skills – both written and oral. Must be capable of working, liaising and conducting briefings or presentations from the “fence-line to the boardroom”

Is able to operate effectively within an asymmetrical, multicultural setting, under pressure and able to sustain a high level of operational focus.


Position description, accountabilities:
Accountable to the Shell Iraq Security Department for the supervision, training and mentoring of local national radar operators.
Supervise surveillance system operation in accordance with Security standards.
Assistant & further develop the current scope in Execution-phase, & the future Security solution.
