About the role
The ERP Safety and Security Adviser will work closely with
both Country Directors and SCI Regional Security Directors (RSDs) to
carry out safety and security assessments; make recommendations and
provide support for their implementation by country programmes. The ERP
Safety and Security Adviser will facilitate the implementation of Save
the Children’s Safety and
Security Policy and Standards within country programmes and help drive systemic change in the quality of safety and security management and contribute to building country compliance with safety and security Minimum Standards. While on assignment the ERP will play a key role in the capacity building of Safety & Security Focal Points.

About you
You will be an expert in current safety and security
practices and issues affecting aid work globally. You are working or
have previously worked as an NGO Security Adviser or similar. Having
worked in hostile environments you have developed a highly proactive
attitude with the ability to work autonomously in highly stressful and
challenging contexts. You can competently undertake security risk
assessments and have the ability to train multi-national staff of
varying technical capacities. You are flexible and ready to be deployed 80% of your time.
