International Security Manager

Unique Skills:
Acceptable advanced training includes but is not limited to: Officer candidate/training school, Defense Language Institute, Staff/War College, Protective Service Operations, or any 1811 (Special Agent) academy.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree and/or post graduate degree in international relations, Criminal Justice or related field of study required.Eight years experience as a US Government Special Agent, Military officer or private security operator. Or any combination of the three. See Other Requirements in job description.
Position Purpose:
Oversees International Security for Gulfstream Employees, International Assignees and events including: Event Marketing, International travel, and Flight Operations. Provide Executive Protection directly to Leadership Team members including the company president/CEO as well as GD Aerospace President.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Directs and coordinates security for Event Marketing, international Travelers or Assignees, and Flight Operations. 2. Controls security procedures for Leadership, including conducting close protection details where required. 3. Coordinates Medical Evacuations and emergency response for international travelers, International Assignees and international supply locations 4. Coordinates movement of international security advisors through collaboration with foreign law enforcement officials, third party contractors and sales and marketing leadership. 5. Manages security measures with appropriate third party agencies regarding the protection of static displays of aircraft and exhibits/property/personnel and other event marketing resources. 6. Establishes and maintains relationships with international security services providers. 7. Works with appropriate personnel to obtain/create timely written risk assessments for international events. Ensures personnel are aware of all upcoming events and staff requirements are known in advance. 8. Liaison with international, local, federal, or state law enforcement agencies, private security contractors and other law enforcement/security personnel as necessary. 9. Oversees complex investigations and reports of international security incidents.

Additional Functions: 1. Extensive travel required. 2. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: 1. Certification from an accredited protective service training facility or Graduate of an advanced military/security/law enforcement academy required. 2. Operational experience abroad coordinating movement of high value assets/personnel in an adversarial environment. 3. Experience conducting physical security surveys, threat assessments, and compiling/creating detailed reports. 4. Experience dealing with cultural sensitivities, language barriers, interpreters and security issues in an overseas environment.
