Description
The Security Operations is charged with assuring the safety & security of customers, employees and company assets, ensuring compliance through the implementation & sustained operation of programs as mandated by Corporate HQ and or Group Security Operations Manager.
Main Responsibilities
Security and Risk Management:
• Ensure implementation of security and risk management policy defined by the Group.
• Ensure implementation of cost effective controls to minimize risk exposure affecting corporate interest.
• Manage day-to-day operational security including liaison and coordination with security service providers.
• Conduct security awareness training for all staff.
• Recommend and Support Security designs of facilities including CCTV and Access control systems.
• Fraud detection and corporate security investigations.
Internal Support / External network:
• Act as focal point for any investigations involving safety and security and prepare reports and actions taken as follow up
• Represent the business entity within several government organizations.
• Keeps update on evolution of the local legislation regarding retail industry, company responsibilities
Crisis Management / Disaster Recovery:
• Participate in the role of Incident Manager during any incidents and emergencies
• Ensure that all business recovery / contingency plans and or procedures held are always up to date
• Support Corporate by implementations and management of emergency / crisis management plans.
• Be familiar with crisis management system to deal with different types of crises and disasters.
• Conduct crisis management training.
• Support Corporate by ensuring all stakeholders are aware of the crisis management plan.
• Preparing and present oral and written communications/reports in relation to emergencies.
Quality Assurance and Safety:
• Conduct audits, inspections, and survey suppliers.
• Complete audit reports and recommendations in order to achieve continuous improvement process.
• Conduct risk management and implement hazard identification scheme within the Group framework.
• Monitor safety performance, management of change, and promote safety culture.
Physical Security:
• Management of contracted security services
• Support Corporate by monitoring and maintaining Perimeter detection, Lightning, Access points, Barriers, Alarm systems through various types of barriers such as human, natural and structural.
• Detect, Delay and Reponses to physical systems
Previous Experience
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Security with minimum of 3 years in similar role, proven management experience within the security industry, public sector, armed services, retail Sales or operations experience
• Previous experience in “Retail Loss Prevention and Asset Protection” is a plus
• Currently in the UAE or with minimum of 2 years’ experience within the UAE / GCC
• Experience of writing processes and procedures, drafting reports
• Should have demonstrated success in position of authority
