Job Description
Daily rate GW offers a competitive daily rate to all personnel. (Contractor will only be paid whilst on-duty – no payment made for Off-duty) (Contractor only paid whilst on-duty)
Rotation 8 weeks on & 4 weeks off, subject to operational requirements
Duration of Task Open ended
Travel Pay Travel pay is one half of the On-Duty rate for day(s) spent travelling from the contractor’s country of residence to the place of work (max of 2 days) and on return to the country of residence (max of 2 days).There is no £75 travel allowance applicable on this project placement.
Package GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support
Flight Package The Hub Airport designated by the Company for the Consultant will be located in the United Kingdom and will be the most cost effective option available to the Company at the time of booking a flight.
Operational effectiveness will also be considered when booking the flight. Such Hub Airport may not be the one geographically closest to Consultant’s residence and, as such, may require Consultant paying for the cost to and from such airport or making up the difference if Consultant resides outside the United Kingdom.
For example: If the cost to deploy GW Contractor from his local airport hub to Iraq is more than GBP1000.00 then any additional costs will be bourne by the contractor
Essential Minimum Hiring Criteria
Registered ALS Paramedic in country of origin or equivalent.
Primary Care qualification (e.g. HSE Offshore Medic, CertROM/DipROM, Nurse, Emergency Care Practitioner or equivalent).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent.
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent.
Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
Full clean driving license in country of origin.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in pre-hospital, remote and acute care.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Knowledge and skills commensurate to Level 4 Health Care Professionals as defined in Annex 3 of OGP Report Number 343
Must have experience of writing, security and emergency response plans; coupled with developing standard operating procedures for the project locations.
Quality management and inspection report writing.
Must have a good understanding of Health and Safety at work; making sure the HSE manager is informed of all issues in a timely manner.
Must have experience to lead the team from the front; setting high standards for all to follow.
Must be able to communicate with clients and prepare daily reports as well prepare security briefs as required.
Strong communications and IT skills, including use of all Microsoft programs; Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook.
Job Duties
Assessing, treating and accurately recording all medical cases in the designated clinical facility delivered under best practice and in line with his/her scope of practice and at all times in the best interest of the patient and in accordance with Ventech Policies and Procedures.
Accurate and timely reporting of all medical cases in accordance with Ventech Policies and Procedures.
Promoting health education.
Maintaining clinical facility in a clean and fit for purpose state in accordance with Ventech Policies and Procedures.
Compliance with all Garda World and Ventech Policies and Procedures appertaining to his/her position and employment.
Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude to duty.
Maintaining personal skills commensurate to qualification, registration and position.
Facility Security Management
Security plan and emergency response plan development and management.
Facility Access and Control and Journey Management.
Site management.
Site inspections and Quality Management.
Reporting directly to Ventech and to GW Kurdistan CMT.
Provide operational and administrative support to the GW Erbil CMT.
Will be the point of contact for all expatriate staff on the project, this will include communication in regard to leave rotations to the CMT
