Job Introduction:
An opportunity has arisen for a visionary manager to drive the growth of our ESS business in Yemen. G4S Yemen provides Manned Security, Facility Services and Security Systems. The business was established over 10 years ago and currently employs over 2400+ employees throughout Yemen with a revenue portfolio of GBP 8 million.
Reporting to the Managing Director, and working with the country’s senior management team, the ESS Manager will be responsible for providing strategic direction and ensuring the profitability of the business unit. This would include the responsibility for 10 ESS staff.
Role Responsibility:
The ESS Manager will be responsible for a security systems business and will be tasked to grow the business in line with the aggressive regional targets to deliver year on year growth in both turnover and margin.
To achieve these targets, the candidate will develop and implement a country wide strategy in partnership with the country sales & business development team.
To grow the security systems business into a market leading provider of electronic security solutions to a wide customer base of both public and private sector clients. He will plan and build the team developing delivery capability to suit market needs.
To develop short and long term business strategies for delivering the companies key objectives whilst managing full P&L responsibilities.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will be a driven energetic individual with a positive can do attitude and will come with a good track record of building systems businesses.
Good knowledge of technical issues and experience in a sales role, the candidate will have the ability to develop, manage and invest in your team. The candidate will plan, direct, manage and oversee all aspects of the security systems business including technical, operational and maintenance. He will have experience in formulating strategic objectives and plans for systems business.
Must have excellent knowledge of the industry and have a sound understanding of the leading suppliers and business partners needed to build a successful system business.
The candidate will set the budget for the business in coordination with the country MD and track and control sales and margin performance and keep it within a set budget.
Setting key performance measures for the team for monitoring the performance of the systems business.
In coordination with the sales team, he will take ownership of high value opportunities and manage the successful submission of large value bids. Will work with the other business heads to submit integrated security bids.
Educated to Bachelor Degree or MBA level
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in managing business of relevant size – within the ESS business
Autonomous and results orientated, with a clear determination to succeed.
Strong commitment and leadership skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Capable of working effectively and productively with senior team members.
Ability to maintain strong ethical and professional values.
Excellent command of written and spoken English. Arabic would be an added advantage.
The ability to operate in diverse cultural environments.
