Job purpose
Establish and maintain policies, standards, guidelines and tools to protect the company assets and ability to respond to unplanned events thereby delivering business resilience and corporate governance. Provide assurance that company standards are applied across business units.
Responsibilities
• Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of the security program across the company, including setting of objectives, targets and metrics consistent with current operations and the corporate business development plan.
• Manage security policy, standards, guidelines and tools.
• Identify and apply industry best practice where appropriate.
• Monitor trends and the country political risk in key areas of interest, identify emerging issues and develop response strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of technologies, trends, strategic and local issues and update management on risk and threats that could impact company business.
• Participate in industry/government collaborative and best practice working / networking groups.
• Provide advice and counsel to senior corporate and country management
• Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
• Incident analysis and Investigation of security breaches and incidents.
• The training program, competence of Security Managers and standards of private security contractors.
• Support setting standards and supporting BU implementation.
• Develop and implement a risk based travel management program.
• Track travellers and be able to account for staff and contractors worldwide in a timely manner
• A professional and capable individual with proven track record of managing security activities in a multi- site organisation
• Experience in Africa beneficial
• Excellent networking skills
• Good oral communication skills; excellent written and presentation skills
• Strong IT skills (Excel and Power Point)
