Job purpose
Control Risks requires an experienced security consultant with
security design experience to join its growing Jakarta office.
The consultant will be responsible for identifying, scoping and delivering
security consultancy tasks for Control Risks, with a specific emphasis on
design tasks for major mixed-use, hotel, industrial, energy and commercial
facilities in Jakarta and across Indonesia.
Tasks and responsibilities
Threat and risk assessment
In conjunction with Control Risks’ Indonesia analytical team, carry out risk
assessment activities to identify and prioritise risks
facing clients’ operations and facilities in Indonesia.
Design development and quality assurance
Working with Control Risks’ regional security design practice, develop
security design solutions
from initial client enquiry through to delivery
–including
proposal and report writing and ongoing client management.
This will involve defining operational requirements, preparing technical specifications in line with this requirement,
and preparing BOQs and budget estimates.
Business development
The consultant will be expected to develop a strong understanding of Control
Risks’ capabilities locally and globally, contribute to marketing and profile-raising events, participate in client meetings, seek opportunities to develop projects and cultivate long-term client relationships.
Team/practice development
Maintain and develop new or enhanced sources, resources and
subcontractors.
Achieve excellence in the area of security design
to gain recognition as an expert across the region , both within Control Risks and among clients.
Knowledge and experience
Essential
Experience in security risk assessment
.
Knowledge of security equipment (hardware and software)
available in the global market including current and emerging trends
.
Experience in preparation of technical documents pertaining to security
installations at the pre-sales stage.
Experience in the project management of security installations.
Experience in the testing and commissioning of
security projects.
Preferred
Experience of business development.
Experience of delivering security consultancy in Indonesia
and/or other South-east Asian countries.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Qualifications and specialist skills
Essential
Excellent verbal and written
English report writing skills.
Previous experience operating within a commercial environment in a client facing role.
Educated to degree level (with requisite technical diploma/degree).
Preferred
Network of contacts and sources in the security design and security
equipment industry in the South-east Asia region.
Additional critical qualities
Ability to travel within Indonesia and internationally at short notice.
Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office applications
including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Candidates must be innovative, adaptable and able to think on
their feet.
