The Escort will support PAE''s initial Baghdad Task Order (BTO) location, the US Baghdad Embassy Complex (BEC), in Baghdad, Iraq. This Escort position reports to the CAA (Cleared Access Area) Custodian/Escort. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
Duties
Escorting persons, and helping visitors and customers
Assist with ensuring site facilities are secure and in accordance with Compound security requirements and assist security operations personnel with facility security alarm inspections and key/lock control, if requested
Shall maintain a “line-of-sight” of all individuals that he/she is escorting; if the Escort is unable to keep “line-of-sight” of all un-cleared visitors, the Escort will notify the CAA (Cleared Access Area) Custodian/Escort of additional monitoring needs
Prior to entering a secure vault, the Escort will notify the tenants that an un-cleared visitor will be entering, where the un-cleared visitor is going, and the expected length of time it will take to accomplish their work
The Escort will not leave the un-cleared individual that is being escorted until the Escort has either been relieved by another Escort or by an individual that understands all the responsibilities of being a Escort (e.g. Armed Guard, Security Officer, etc.)
If there is an emergency, such as a building fire, the Escort will direct the un-cleared individual(s) to the proper assembly area based on the Compound’s emergency action plan
Any security incidents or possible compromises of classified information shall be reported immediately to the Operations Manager and Security Manager or designees
If a tenant refuses to adhere to the security requirements needed to escort an un-cleared visitor into a secure area, the Escort will not allow the visitor to enter the secure area but immediately notify the Security office
May include other duties such as cleaning, material handling, etc. around the Baghdad Embassy Complex (BEC) during times when no escort service is required and other duties as directed
EXPERIENCE:
1+ year successful experience escorting uncleared employees into classified areas
REQUIRED:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent
Security Vetting: Must be able to obtain an MRPT (moderate risk public trust) and maintain eligibility for the duration of the contract
Language Skills: Professional English communication skills, both oral and written
Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required
Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination
DESIRED:
Relevant overseas security escort experience
Previous out of home country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions
Experience working with PAE
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of ALL principles and processes involved in supporting escort functions at an overseas facility
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules
Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team
Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change
