Job Description
Provide Combat Lifesaver (CLS) Training to African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program training.

Instruct and supervise PKO CLS training in African for African company grade officers and their soldiers who shall deploy to PKOs.

Focus on prevention and treatment of heat injuries, CPR, airway management, intravenous access, treatment of fractures, treatment of extreme burns, treatment of gunshot wounds, and treatment of internal injuries due to traumatic impact and primary blast effects.
Ensure development of POIs, lesson plans, and training support packages for individual and collective training as noted in each ACOTA Program Office (APO) task order.

Support the preparation of ACOTA partner country soldiers for the rigors of sustained PKO in Africa.

Training will involve classroom and field instruction in austere environments.
Work will take place about 22km from Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.

This position is for temporary work of limited duration.

Minimum Tangible Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of U.S. military operations and training experience (or civilian equivalent) in a Combat Service Support Specialty required.
PSO Medical Trainers should be subject matter experts in CLS.
Must be able to speak French with sufficient fluency to conduct training without an interpreter.

Prefered Qualifications:
Strong background in overseas program operations focused on training local national military personnel and units preferred.
Prefer U.S. Military Occupational Medical Specialty pertaining to CLS, preferably 68W (Combat Medic), 18D (Special Forces Medic), US Navy Corpsman or USAF pararescue Jumper.
Preferably an individual with recent U.S. Military combat and/or PKO experience at the O-2 to O-4 or E-5 to E-9 level.
Experience operating in areas with limited life cycle support and in hardship conditions preferred.
Recent OIF/OEF experiences desired.
