Sr. Manager Security - Brazil

Qualification
This role will be driving the development of a Brazilin region wide security program incorporating personal security, asset protection, information security, investigations and risk assessments for the company covering Brazil and other necessary business travel locations in South America. Travel is estimated at 20%. This position will focus on identifying and creating an efficient, cross-functional, value added, risk based corporate service that promotes employee responsibility and action, improved
security awareness, and minimizes corporate risks and liability protecting the company brand, assets, employees and information across the business in line with the standards set forth by company Global Security.

Creating visibility for the Brazil Leadership Team and Business Unit Leaders this role will ensure the appropriate strategies, policies, procedures, management, staffing and technology are in place to address all security related functions and activities for the company throughout and areas of operations including, supply chain, manufacturing facilities & sales offices.

Responsibilites
1. Developing, implementing and directing a responsible security program for the company including the protection of employees while on company premises or traveling and the protection of physical and intellectual property.

2. Identifying significant security risks and design and implementing strategies and programs that will prevent loss of company assets, respond to sabotage, threats, various emergencies and criminal acts, including property and environmental crimes

3. Managing regular security audits at all company and appropriate 3rd party locations and be responsible for internal and external investigations regarding security issues

4. To develop resources, training material and presentations to reduce risks and improve the security of the company workplace and Proprietary Information Security

5. Providing regional support to the approach, deployment and execution of investigations under the guidance of the Global Security department, you will provide effective coordination for investigations of suspected or known criminal diversion of Company assets and serious criminal misconduct

6. Providing effective security guidance to local Plant and Distribution management through risk assessments and evaluations of vulnerabilities, including assistance in implementation and administering special plans for identified concerns

7. Developing capital plan visibility for security projects and expense budget for the Security Department.


8. Develop and maintain Site Security Plans at key locations throughout Brazil and implement a risk based security strategy unique to each location in line with the Global Security Standards

9. Work with global logistics and supply chain to sustain a security plan around the shipment of company product throughout the region

10. Creating and maintaining close working relationships with high-level domestic and international counterparts, including in-country and European security and intelligence agencies and private sector counterparts.

11. Liaising with local & regional police service and representing the company in any resulting court cases.

12. Assist Expat security detail as needed. Evaluate security needs for company employees travelling to the region and vet locations for possible external meetings and events. Coordinate with third party security services as needed


Competences/Abilites

Knowledge
Familiarity with Brazilian and international white collar crime/pharmaceutical fraud

Skills and Abilites
Significant leadership and supervisory experience in corporate security Accomplished interviewing and negotiating skills, and excellent record of leading people. Experience in a large complex organization, with multinational experience/global reach. Integrity, sound judgment and the ability to work independently are a must. Ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels of an organization. Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.

Supervision
Position functions autonomously

Education/Exeperience
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and minimum of 10 years of experience, including conducting and/or supervising white collar crime/pharmaceutical investigations, complex litigation, and fraud. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Military or Law Enforcement experience a plus

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret comprehensive and intricate research documents in Spanish, Portuguese and English. Ability to write scientific reports and technical correspondence. Ability to work with executives and communicate abstract concepts. Ability to present to a high level of the organization and groups outside of the organization.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and use deductive reasoning with no prescribed procedures to solve complex problems.
