Head of Corporate Security - Qatar

Role Purpose
To secure the interests of Vodafone Qatar and protects its staff, customers, assets, information, reputation and value through appropriate security risk management.
Ensure that there is a fit for purpose and cost effective level of Investigative and security support to the business which focuses on minimising the risk exposure
whilst identifying opportunities to reduce losses.
Ensure that there is a robust and valued level of business engagement which drives a strong security culture and enables the team to provide an effective level of end
to end support to all aspects of business operations and planning. Foster relationships and work closely with external agencies to ensure adequate support to operational and strategic activities
within the business

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities
Manage and develop a team of 3 staff and provide support to a further 3 staff who coordinate fraud management in another team. Foster influential relationships with Executive Committee, Audit Committee and other senior managers across the business to create a culture which considers the consequences of actions and creates an environment that values the CS team input to maintain integrity of Vodafone’s Revenues and its reputation;

Impact on the business
• Fraud Management – Provide advice and guidance to Head of Financial Operations to ensure that a robust, cost effective and efficient level of network and services fraud mitigation, including the prevention, detection and reduction of subscription, GSM Gateways (Sim Boxes), Subscription Fraud, IRSF and IN Fraud which impacts the business;
• Physical / Personnel Security – Manage and coordinate all aspects of physical and personnel security for Vodafone Qatar, including access control, CCTV and swipe card operations, personnel security, travel security and critical site protection;
• Investigation Management – Evaluate and complete investigations into all reported allegations of fraud & crime affecting the business and liaise accordingly with other agencies such as the Police etc to ensure all necessary and lawful requirements are met. Provide timely and relevant recommendations to the business in regards to any issues identified including disciplinary / criminal action. Focus on recovering losses and KPI management;
• Proactive Fraud & Crime Reviews – Plan and complete reviews of business operations and activities which present a risk of potential fraud & crime activities and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks to the business;
• Awareness & Training – Roll out an effective and valued level of Fraud & Security Awareness to the entire business which translates into a positive cultural change and mind set and communicates the requirements and activities necessary to ensure that there is strong protection of the businesses staff, assets, revenues and reputation.
• ICT Security – Manage the creation and maintenance of all security policies and engage effectively with Technology Security to ensure that adequate adherence is maintained. Engage closely with Technology Security on information and network security related issues to ensure aligned support to mitigate.

Customers, suppliers and third parties
• Disclosure Support – Provide a robust, accurate and legally compliant disclosure service to Qatar authorities in accordance with all required legislative requirements;

Leadership & Teamwork
• Management - Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Corporate Security Team and ensure robust and fit for purpose people management is maintained. Also be an active member of the Corporate Security Leadership Team and contribute to strategic global security projects and discussions.
• Security Alignment – Ensure that Corporate Security is effectively aligned to other risk teams within the business unit (AC&B, BCCM, ERM and Compliance) to achieve a seamless, end to end, level of coordination both strategically and operationally.
• Strategic Development – Coordinate strategic planning within Corporate Security which aligns with business performance objectives and planning. Ability to think outside the box in a complex environment.

Innovation & Change
• New product & services risk reviews – Review all new products & services and evaluate for potential impacts including fraud, loss of revenues, reputational concerns etc prior to launch and support the business to mitigate these risks;

Knowledge & Experience
• Corporate Security Policy Management – Manage and ensure accuracy and relevance of all policies & procedures regarding risk management related operations within Vodafone Qatar and ensure compliance with legal and compliance related legislation and VFG CS standards;

Communication
• Reporting – Ensure adequate and relevant cascade of Corporate Security Information within the business and ensure it is used to support the business meetings its goals.

§ Minimum 5 -10 years experience in a broad range of fraud / risk management areas with strong understanding of legislative and governance requirements at a senior level;
§ Proven people manager with broad experience in criminal investigations, risk management and physical security;
