The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster.
The IRC has been working in Pakistan since 1980. The IRC is leading a USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP): Aou Parho! (“Let’s Read!”) to improve the quality of reading in public and private schools, supporting at least 2.5 million additional primary school students to read at a level commensurate with standards at their grade level. This goal will be supported by the mutually-reinforcing components of teacher education and professional development (PD), systems reform, and civil society engagement.

Responsibilities
Monitor and assess security conditions in the country providing expert security advice to all staff, focusing on awareness and providing update on the prevailing security situation of the country.
Travel to all areas of operation to assess the situation firsthand on a regular basis.
Act as a liaison with local and regional officials, UN, INGO and other agencies regarding security issues.
Collect, author, compile and analyze security related reports, SOP’s and humanitarian related security information from multiple sources.
Implement IRC’s standard security policies and procedures in all IRC premises.
Responsible to collect day to day security information and submit to supervisor/Country Office.
Responsible for developing standard operating procedures according to security situation.
Responsible to provide basic security training to IRC drivers and other concerned staff.
May be required to perform other related duties assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements
Bachelors Degree in any disciple, preferably Social Sciences.
2 years of relevant Security experience, preferably with International Organization.
Fluency in English (mandatory) and local languages - both oral and written skills.
Ability to conduct formal Security training.
Computer proficiency is a must.
