Job Description
Serve as a Special Operations Forces Fielding and Training Team (SOF FTT) subject matter expert (SME) providing the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane with support in engineering, scientific and analytical disciplines to confirm RM&A requirements are integrated with the systems design, development and life
cycle sustainment. Must have the ability to serve as an instructor as well as SME on RM&A. Assist in the detection and correction of design deficiencies, weak parts, and defects that affect the functionality. RM&A SME must be skilled in SOF specific equipment and be able to properly shape and assist development from an “operator’s perspective.”

Qualifications
· MUST be a US Citizen.
· Bachelor degree
· 5 or more years of SOF experience, with 3 years’ experience as an instructor
· Should have five to ten (5-10) years of relevant experience with either the U.S. military or other federal government agency that demonstrates the ability to meet the duties described above and top function as highly skilled, broadly gauged RM&A expert to perform tasks in the direct vital interests of NSWC.
· Must possess in-depth knowledge of night vision, lasers, weapons, and weapon sight technologies, capabilities and weaknesses, in-depth and actual operational knowledge and must include all three SOF and Marine Corp environmental applications including sniper applications.
· Must possess in-depth knowledge of current industry technology as well as developing or future technologies and integration.
· Must possess in-depth knowledge of SOF Weapons, SOPMOD/MDNS programs, their history, objectives, and future directions.
· Demonstrated experience should include involvement with combat arms, U.S. Special Operations Forces and/or U.S. Special Mission Units.
· Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of research and development in order to provide support.
· Expert instructional knowledge and recent experience instructing SOF Weapons and SOPMOD/MDNS equipment.
· Instructors should be graduates of an instructor training school.

Preferred Qualification:
· Master degree in associated discipline
· Preferably former combatant SOF Operator, who can interact with technicians, logisticians, high-level government and military officials, and SOF Operators to develop and monitor New Equipment Training (NET) and Logistical requirements and specifications for new combat systems
· Prefer Graduate of a Core Unique Instructor Training (CUIT), for high risk Navy programs.
· Prefer experience with PEO SOF Warrior.
