Regional Trainer , Western Canada (G4S)

SCOPE OF THE POSITION
The Regional Trainer, Western Canada will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of a variety of professional security and safety related training and development programs for all Western Canada Secure Solutions employees. The Regional Trainer will work to research and implement best practices for

ongoing training in employee excellence, and will hold responsibilities for the coordination, promotion and evaluation of employee development programs. Other responsibilities will include collaboration with management staff to assess and facilitate employee training needs, identification of training needs through the performance of gap analysis, job analysis, and regular consultations with management. The Regional Trainer will evaluate training needs in a cost-effective manner, assessing the return on investment of all training and development programs to ensure maximum benefit to employees and the organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, but not limited to:
Manage the delivery of training and development programs and devise an overall training strategy (Quarterly Schedule) for the Western region;  Ensure that statutory training requirements are met; Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities and program effectiveness; Coordinate training schedules, locations and materials; Ensure that all administrative functions pertaining to employee development are completed with respect to class lists, certifications and timely submission to administrative support for registration on to the HRIS;  Identify training and development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments; Produce training materials for in-house courses;
Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment; Maintain a current library of training materials and programs and conduct annual reviews of all training program content; Organize and develop training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials such as handouts and visual aids; Provide support to department management to ensure the retention of qualified staff. Other duties as directed by management.

REQUIREMENTS & TRAINING COMPETENCIES
Minimum 3-4 years of adult facilitation and development. 

 5 years’ experience in Security/Loss Prevention industry an asset.
2-3 years’ experience supervising security personnel an asset.
Training certification/accreditation (Teaching and Training Adults or Adult Education Program) or equivalent 
Willing to seek professional accreditation as a CTP or CTDP through Canadian Society of Training and Development (CSTD);
Maintains current/standing training certification in all G4S programs both internal and external;
Maintains Use of Force, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, WHMIS and Tactical Communications Certifications;
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail required;
Highly developed time-management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and will have strong organization and analytical skills.
Ability to identify and resolve problems and communicate appropriate solutions using Conflict Resolution skills. 
A collaborative team player who's willing to contribute extra effort when needed for deliverables . 

Travel will be required throughout Western Canada. 
Willing to acquire all instructor level courses that are required.
