The Mechanical Asset Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the Mechanical Clearance Asset and reports to the AAAS C/Operations. The Manager oversees the Mechanical Asset Team Leader and Operator. The Mechanical Asset Manager will conduct the following duties and responsibilities: • Plan and implement the deployment and tasking of the Machine in consultation with the AAAS C/Ops. • Check, control and maintain a record of monthly financial expenses for the Machine and Mechanical Asset Team. • Provide regular reports to the AAAS C/Ops as requested. • Liaise and recommend to the AAAS C/Ops on spare parts issues. • Ensure that the machine is correctly maintained and service records kept. • Arrange personnel training and time-table for daily activities. • Liaise with the ERW Clearance organisation to be supported by the Mechanical Clearance Team. • Liaise with local authorities as required in the area of operations. • Regularly evaluate the mechanical clearance assets achievements. • Monitoring of the mechanical clearance asset and providing immediate feedback to the operator and Team Leader as required. • Ensure the machine is used in compliance with mechanical ERW clearance SOP • Maintain machine SOPs and submit recommendations for required changes and improvements. • Attend mechanical technical working group as required. • Identifying areas for improving productivity and the safe use of the machine. • Any other task as assigned by C/Ops AAAS. •
Essential Experience
Education: Tertiary qualification is desirable Hold license for heavy construction machinery
Health: The incumbent shall be physically and medically fit.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in the operation and management of heavy earth moving / construction machinery. Proven planning ability Proven financial / budgeting experience Experienced in mechanical demining activities Fully conversant with Microsoft Office
Characteristics Strong inter-personal skills Traits: Able to work in remote locations with minimal support. Task Oriented Able to work in a culturally diverse environments Self-starter – strong communication skills written and verbal Abel to work unsupervised
Languages • Fluent in English with strong written skills • Arabic is desirable
